About The ChasteKeepers

  • The ChasteKeepers offers a dual
    emphasized integrated approach to
    Preventive Health and Reading Program
    for Teen Girls and Young Adult Females.

  • Adolescence is a time of rapid physical
    growth with many progressive changes
    occurring.   The ChasteKeepers
    emphasizes an integrated approach that
    takes into consideration the unique
    developmental needs of the adolescent
    and young adult female.  The
    ChasteKeepers is about making choices--
    choices that are right, choices that will
    shape teens' lives and individuals they
    become.  It's about knowing who you are
    and believing in yourself.

  • The ChasteKeepers series will help teens
    to be instrumental in making a difference
    in the lives of their peers by sharing
    valuable preventive health, safety and
    other  information of importance.  Teens
    and young adults will gain a greater
    sense of self-worth and greater insight
    about the dangers and harmful affects of
    drugs, alcohol, tobacco, premarital
    sexual activities and criminal
    involvement, and will be less tolerant of
    their use.

  Statutory Rape Laws state:

  • If you have sexual intercourse
    with any person under the age
    of 16 years, you will have
    committed statutory rape.

  • A person 21 years of age or
    older convicted of statutory
    rape shall be imprisoned for a
    minimum of 10 and up to 20
    years.

  • A person age 17-20 convicted
    of statutory rape shall be
    imprisoned for 1 to 20 years.

  • If the victim is 14 or 15 years of
    age and the person convicted
    is no more than 3 years older
    than the victim, the person shall
    be guilty of a misdemeanor.

  • It does not matter if you are
    unaware of the victim's age.

  • It does not matter if the sex is
    consensual.
